The Opportunity
Due to projects ramping up, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Safety Case Engineer to join a leading provider of consultancy, design, and engineering support where you will be working on driving the safety to challenging defence projects.
This role will ideally be based close to our Glasgow office, and there will be a need for periodic visits to client sites as projects require.
The role
As a Senior Safety Case Engineer, you will be working within the Defence and Security business as part of Energy Technology and Security division, where you will be involved in planning, managing, and delivering programmes of work to support nuclear safety critical infrastructure, throughout the UK in a multidiscipline environment.
Estimated Duration- 12 months.
This role has been deemed inside of IR35.
Remuneration will be based on an hourly rate and this is dependent on experience.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
The Defence & Security business provides an exciting mixture of consultancy, design, and engineering support, along with
Taking a lead role in the development of the appropriate and proportionate safety case including Nuclear, Product, Construction, Process and HSE.
Ensuring technical quality and excellence of your work.
Regular communication with clients and other design team members and participation in Design Reviews, HAZOPs, HAZCONs, SHERAs and stakeholder meetings.
Contributing to the development of designs for complex facilities, systems, and equipment.
Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems
Operational and design safety and developing good safety culture.You will have the following Experience and Qualifications
An understanding of the principles of safety as applied to both military and civilian applications.
Working knowledge of key legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Experience in delivering safety case documentation.
Ability to produce safety case documentation to a high standard.
Ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients and other design team members.
A high level of security clearance will be required, so applicants must be willing and able to attain the level required.Get in touch now
