About Our Client
Our client is a reputable law firm based in Wiltshire, seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor to join their Land and Development team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with substantial experience in the housebuilding sector to manage high-value projects and contribute to the continued success of the firm.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing development land transactions from start to finish. This includes site acquisitions with full planning permission, handling transaction documents, performing title due diligence, managing funding, and legal completion. Additionally, the role offers opportunities to manage affordable housing disposals, infrastructure agreements, and general site setup, along with providing support and supervision to Plot Sales Conveyancers on technical matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and managing Option Agreements, Promotion Agreements, Strategic Land Assembly, Conditional Sale Agreements, Unconditional Sales and Purchases, Planning Agreements, Affordable Housing Disposals, and Infrastructure Agreements
* Developing business and managing a diverse caseload related to high-value housebuilding projects ranging from small bespoke sites to large strategic land projects
* Assisting in general HR advice and team support as needed
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 5 years PQE with substantial experience in the housebuilding sector
* Proven ability to handle complex transactions independently
* Strong business development skills and excellent client service abilities
* Ambitious and driven, with a strong desire to contribute to team success
* Excellent teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to work
