Our client are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing AP/AR ledgers, assisting with the preparation of month-end accounts, and handling the treasury function. This role will also involve processing payments and receipts on the accounting system and maintaining expense claims.
Responsibilities for Accounts Assistant:
- Managing Accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers and ensure accuracy in all transactions
- Submit accounts to Head Office within designated time lines
- Assist in the preparation of month-end accounts
- Manage the treasury function and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Process payments and receipts on the accounting system
- Handle expense claims and ensure timely reimbursement to employees
- Use analytical skills to recognise process improvements
- Maintain good communication with team members and stakeholders
- Pay great attention to detail and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies
- Use own initiative to contribute to the efficiency of the finance function
Qualifications for Accounts Assistant
- Part-qualified or graduate accountant
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to use own initiative and recognise process improvements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel
- Prior experience in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers is preferred
