Our technology benefits millions of people every day – making travel safer, supporting sustainable energy transition, efficiently heating, cooling our homes, and helping our world stay connected.nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Slough based Research & Development team on a permanent basis (hybrid working).nYou will be joining a team of highly creative and inventive engineering domain experts.nYou will be focused on adding real value to every aspect of our engineering and manufacturing operations with lots of involvement and exposure to exciting projects.
Duties and Responsibilitiesn• Undertake model making (ANSYS or similar) evaluating stress and deformation.n• Ability to interpret customer specifications & make decisions based on the available technical information.n• Working with global sales centres to liaise with customers and acquire necessary informationn• Design with consideration to the aesthetics, materials, and functionality of components.n• Undertake complex engineering calculations.n• Assist senior colleagues with answering customer technical queries
The Individualn• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.n• Basic understanding of compressors and rotating equipment.n• Positive attitude towards teamwork and excellent communication skills with internal and external bodies.n• Creative design capabilities transforming ideas into engineered solutions.n• Ability to identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs.n• Ability to self-manage their projects ensuring on time delivery.n• Strong cross cultural communication skills
