About The RolenThis is a great opportunity to join the Vehicle Solutions team at our company. We are recruiting new apprentices to join our growing team initially at our Loughborough site before moving to our state-of-the-art repair centre in Coalville. You will gain an NVQ qualification in vehicle paint spraying.nAs well as classroom-based off-site block release training, you will quickly gain practical skills and work experience, learning while you earn, mentored by our team of senior technicians.nIf you have the passion and commitment to join our team, are eager to learn, and looking for a career, then this apprenticeship is for you.nKey Responsibilities:nHow to accurately assess paint requirements for damaged vehiclesnHow to identify additional faults not identified on initial inspectionnHow to prepare surfaces including stripping, sanding, and masking areasnEtching and priming areas to be treatednColour matching and mixingnPaint application techniques including spray booth technologynBuffing and polishing methodsnPaint defect correctionsnTo attend all mandatory training as part of your apprenticeship standardsnTo complete all practical and theory work in line with the expectations of the apprenticeshipnBe able to understand when issues need to be escalated to your supervisor or mentornEnsure all work is completed safely and complies with our standards and guidelinesnObtain authorisation from appropriate supervisors when undertaking work outside of the normal working remitnUnderstand and embed our company values into all aspects of your worknThe Application Process:nApply by completing the application form and submitting your CV.nIf your application meets the requirement, you will be contacted by EMTEC to complete a short interview and a Maths & English assessment. This allows EMTEC to check your eligibility for the programme and how best they would be able to support you.nIf successful at this stage, you will be invited to an assessment centre day with us. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you but also for you to get to know us further. The day will involve an interview, LEGO and VR-related tasks, and lunch.nIf successful at the assessment centre, you will be offered the apprenticeship role.nAbout You:nCommit to your apprenticeship for 3 years.nHave grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2.nHave high attention to detail and be willing to learn.nBe positive and enthusiastic.nHave a flexible approach to working hours.nThis is a Vehicle Damage Paint Apprenticeship programme, delivered by EMTEC Nottingham:nAwarding Body:

Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)nTraining:

Delivered in the workplace and on block release at EMTEC Nottingham. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the program, which equals 4 weeks per year. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.nMentorship:

You will be assigned a dedicated Mentor/Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks either in the workplace or remotely via Microsoft Teams, giving 1-2-1 advice and guidance to help you achieve the following IMI qualifications:nVehicle Damage Paint Technician Level 3nFunctional Skills Level 2 in English & Maths (if required)nRequirements:nBe able to complete classroom-based, online (e-learning), and on-the-job training where applicable.nBe willing to travel for training as required (funded by the company).nAdhere to all company policies, processes, and standards.nAbout The CompanynWe’re the company behind the Motability Scheme.
