Money & Employment Assistant

We are seeking an exceptional individual with a passion for making a difference to join our busy Community Investment Team as a Money & Employment Assistant. You will be the first and vital link between customers, community investment and other services. You will manage the referral and enrolment process of customers onto Hexagon’s Employment Support Programmes and support the Senior Employment Adviser with training administration/job brokerage activities aimed at helping customers move into training, work experience and paid employment
Money & Employment Assistant Responsibilities:
• To be the first and vital link between customers, community investment and other services.
• To deliver a positive first contact experience for customers, through the provision of information, access to resource or other support.
• To support the Community Investment Team’s work in assisting residents migrating to Universal Credit and in the delivery of our UC Hub, which provides access to information and support to residents recently moved onto Universal Credit.
• To Engage residents onto Hexagons Money and Employment Support Services, including managing the referral, registration and follow up process.
• To assist the Community Investment Team in promoting their work internally and externally using a range of communication methods.
• To be responsible for the delivery of the Community Investment Team’s digital device borrowing scheme and referral to digital support services.
Money & Employment Assistant Requirements:
* Excellent administration, planning and operational skills
* Strong understanding of the issues facing low-income households, and good understanding of the principles around income maximisation, budgeting and basic debt advice
* Good knowledge of housing and welfare benefits
* Proficient in the use of IT including Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases and social media
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to deal sensitively with customers with differing needs
