Pastoral Worker | Key Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance to students, promoting their emotional, social, and academic well-being.
Develop and implement individual pastoral care plans for students in need of additional support.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student welfare.
Address behavioural issues and work on strategies to improve student behaviour and engagement.
Organise and lead small group sessions and one-on-one interventions to support students facing challenges.
Monitor and report on students' progress, ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping.
Foster a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting respect, diversity, and equality.Pastoral Worker | What We Are Looking For
Proven experience in a pastoral, counselling, or similar role within an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive and empathetic approach, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Pastoral Worker | Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in education, counselling, social work, or a related field are desirable.
