Site Agent – Highways & Structures | Leeds | £50,000 – £60,000 + Package Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE) + Car/Allowance + Benefits About the Company Our client is a well-established national civil engineering contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the North of England. Specialising in highways, bridges, and structures, they have a strong order book of public and private sector work and are continuing to grow their operations. To support this continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Site Agent with proven highways and structures experience to join their team in Leeds. The Role As a Site Agent, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and liaise with clients and senior management to deliver projects to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the delivery of highways and structures projects from start to completion Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers Review project design, drawings, and specifications Monitor programme, quality, and cost performance Prepare and manage method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation Maintain strong communication with clients, project managers, and engineers About You Previous experience as a Site Agent (or strong Sub Agent ready to step up) within civil engineering Proven background in highways, bridges, and/or structural works Strong leadership and organisational skills Sound knowledge of CDM regulations and site safety management CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualifications Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (preferred) What’s on Offer Competitive salary up to £60,000 (DOE) Company car or car allowance Excellent career development and training opportunities Long-term workload with a respected regional contractor Apply now or contact James Forton on or for a confidential conversation.
