COSS - Controller Site Safety / ALO Coordinator
Randstad is seeking a highly motivated and experienced COSS (Controller of Site Safety) / ALO Coordinator to join our team on a major construction project in Birmingham.
Responsibilities:
Enforce safety regulations and procedures: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations, including site-specific procedures.
Risk assessments and inspections: Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections of the site and works, identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures.
Incident investigations: Investigate any accidents or near-misses, recording findings and recommending preventative actions.
Training and communication: Train site personnel on safety procedures, best practices, and hazard awareness. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff on safety matters.
Site safety coordination: Coordinate safety activities with other site personnel, including subcontractors and managers.
Maintain accurate records: Document all safety activities, inspections, and incidents in accordance with company policy.
ALO Coordinator duties
Qualifications:
Essential:* Valid COSS certification.
* Proven experience as a COSS in Rail projects.
* Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid PTS
