Veetee is an ambient foods and rice company, a major supplier to retailers, wholesalers, and other food manufacturing businesses. We have two factories and three warehouses in Rochester, Kent, one manufacturing site in India and a Sales & Distribution team in the USA.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a highly capable Warehouse Administrator to help manage and support our Inbound & Outbound Stock flow process and ensure we continue to maintain Optimum Customer Service Levels.
Responsibilities:
* Placing internal purchase orders to ensure stock is ordered and delivered in a timely manner for Production.
* Book in deliveries and co-ordinate Inter Depot Transfers, and ensure they are received on the system in a timely manner, and that any delays are communicated to the relevant departments.
* Generate appropriate documentation for all material movements that are coming in and going out.
* Investigating stock discrepancies and highlight any issues to the manager, if not resolved once Investigations have been carried out.
* Work collaboratively with both internal and external Warehouse personnel, including the QA team.
* Ensuring stocks are rotated correctly, using the FIFO principle.
* Carry out daily and monthly stocktakes to ensure accurate stock levels.
* Monitor, record and report any damaged or out of date stock in a timely manner.
* Willingness to learn other areas of the Supply Chain/ Stock function, to include, but not limited to, analysing Forecast data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock, and any other reasonable duties, responsibility or requests that may be issued by management from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role in a Food/FMCG environment.
* Reach and Counterbalance forklift licences would be desirable.
* Knowledge of ERP/stock control systems and familiar with basic goods in and supply chain procedures.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Problem solving skills.
* Able to follow both written and verbal Instructions.
* Outstanding communication skills and can interact with various Internal and External stakeholders including hauliers.
* The ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
* Positive and pro-active.
* Strong desire to learn and develop.
Shift Pattern:
* Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (1 hour for lunch) - On site
