Key Responsibilities
* Generate business from the current customer base to be assigned, source new customers and negotiate all contracts with prospective customers to finalise deals.
* Visiting customers and prospects to assess needs or promote products and services.
* Do Breakfast Mornings in merchants
* Answer customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability. Understand and promote company products and programmes.
* Meet or exceed set sales targets.
* Coordinate sales efforts with set marketing programmes.
* Use Sage 50 to maintain customer records and CRM.
* Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analyses. Reporting to the director.
* Monitors competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
* Recommends changes in products, services and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
* Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales (in heating and plumbing industry or similar is a MUST)
* Ability to negotiate and close deals successfully
* Commitment to excellent customer service
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Brilliant interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
* Strong time management skills
* Understanding different sales strategies and the ability to use them successfully, understand sales processes and dynamics.
* Use of company computer and phone
* Literate in Microsoft Office, CRM, and preferably Sage 50 (but not essential, training provided)
* Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
