Job Responsibilities:      
Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, and land development.
Prepare site plans, grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, and detail drawings based on project specifications and standards.
Modify existing drawings as needed, incorporating design changes, client feedback, or updated standards.
Mentor and support junior CAD technicians, providing training and technical assistance on civil engineering projects.
Review and verify the accuracy and quality of drawings and designs produced by the team to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
Oversee the workflow of CAD tasks within civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
Proficiently use specialized civil CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar applications relevant to civil engineering.
Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, construction, and planning teams, to ensure cohesive and integrated project execution.
Identify and address technical issues related to civil CAD drawings and designs, implementing effective solutions.

Successful candidate requirements:
Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required (i.e. BEng (Hons)/MEng (Hons))
Minimum 4+ years’ experience in creating and prepared detailed drawings, etc. within infrastructure, drainage, flood risk assessments and highways, etc.
Highly experienced in the use of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is essential.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices, particularly in areas like road design, drainage, grading, and utilities.
Proven and relevant delegation and negotiating skills alongside relevant project management experience
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all drawings and designs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior CAD technicians and support staff.
Knowledge of the design and layout of utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems is preferred
