Medway Council is seeking an exceptional Qualified Social Work Team Manager to lead their Children with Disabilities Team in children's services. About the Role:
As the Team Manager of the Children with Disabilities Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that children with disabilities receive the highest quality of care and support. You will lead a dedicated team of social workers, overseeing the assessment, planning, and delivery of services tailored to the unique needs of these children. Your leadership will be key in promoting positive outcomes and enhancing the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Children with Disabilities Team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to social workers.

Oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of services to children with disabilities and their families.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding policies, and best practice standards.

Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other agencies and service providers.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Requirements:
Qualified social worker with extensive experience in children's services, particularly in working with children with disabilities at a manager level.

Social Work England registered.

Proven track record of team management and leadership.

In-depth understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices related to children's services and disability.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and their families.
