Job Purpose
To act as a corporate parent for young people who are preparing to leave the care of the local authority. To provide qualitative assessments, ongoing support, advice and guidance to promote the potential of care leavers to develop the skills necessary to live independently. Enhance the capacity for care leavers to realise their full potential and become successful in all aspects of their lives. Provide a targeted, outcome focussed service to young people who are legally defined as care leavers therefore entitled to this provision.
ESSENTIAL
Qualifications:-
Good general education to NVQ level 3
Knowledge and Skills:-
A clear understanding of the issues facing young people
Ability to establish and maintain effective working partnerships
Broad knowledge of IT applications
Effective time management
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to relate to a wide range of individuals and organisations
