Behaviour Mentor

We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work closely with a Year 5 child who requires additional support due to challenging behaviour. Our partner school in Harrow are an inclusive three-form entry whose ethos revolves around fostering an environment where each child feels supported and empowered to succeed.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a Year 5 child, assisting in managing and improving their behaviour.
Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to the individual needs of the child, promoting positive change and growth.
Foster a supportive and nurturing relationship with the child, building trust and rapport to facilitate progress.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
Monitor and track the child's progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure effectiveness.
Act as a positive role model, demonstrating resilience, patience, and empathy in all interactions with the child.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children displaying challenging behaviour, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children and adults alike.
Resilient and adaptable, able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of children.
