About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis starting in November 2024. As an HLTA, you will be working across Key Stages 1 and 2, supporting classes with approximately 25-30 students. You will have the opportunity to work closely with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, provide targeted support to students, and lead small group interventions. This role stands out because of the autonomy and responsibility you’ll have in shaping the learning environment, making a real difference in the academic and personal development of our students.
Application Requirements:
• A relevant qualification or experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially in Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students,staff, and parents.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach.
• Experience in supporting SEN students is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons, and support learning activities across the curriculum.
• Lead small group sessions and interventions, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other key areas.
• Support the social and emotional development of students, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and reporting to teachers and parents.
