Fledglings Pre-School & Day Nursery are currently recruiting for a new apprentice to work in our lovely outstanding nursery setting in Bramhall, Stockport. We are interested in recruiting an Apprentice Early Years Educator to join our established friendly team.If you are enthusiastic, trustworthy, hardworking, and love the company of children, we would love to hear from you.This is a rare opportunity to become part of the Fledglings the kindest, most wonderful and dedicated team you will ever meetYour role will include;To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergenciesTo plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.To be a key person.To ensure records are properly maintained, daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessmentsTo liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement.To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectivesCompany website : Skills Required
  • Empathy and understanding of children under five. Excellent verbal and communication skills with children and parents.
  • Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records.

Qualification Required Preferred grade 4 in Math's, English and ICT or equivalentOption for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate. Training Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Fledglings Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working dayYou will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:Knowledge, Skills and BehavioursLevel 3 Diploma for the Early Years EducatorLevel 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First AidLevel 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)This will be delivered through Fledglings Nursery's dedicated training provider, RealiseRealise is an established training provider that's enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
