We are currently working with a high-end independent Opticians in Hastings who have a fantastic opportunity to employ a new part time Dispensing Optician.

This family run independent company own a small number of practices in the Sussex area and have over 70 years of experience in providing high-quality, professional healthcare services to the community.

As an independent opticians they are free to select the best products from any manufacturer, which means patients find a wide choice of frames, spectacle lenses and contact lenses - all at competitive prices.

Key Advantages

  • Flexible 35 - 50 minute testing times, depending on patient needs and requirements

  • 2 very spacious test rooms in a relaxed, high-end setting within a spacious and beautifully presented working environment
  • The company like you to spend as much time with your clientele as required offering a truly patient focused and knowledgeable service
  • Offering the latest diagnostic equipment and the latest technological advances in contact lenses, including OCT and Optomap technology alongside a very efficient computerised management system
  • Your day to day work will be extremely varied allowing you to become more involved within the business, extra duties Inc. invoicing, book keeping, marketing and business development
  • Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays with no late nights as the practice closes at 5:30pm
  • Regular internal and external training arranged

Details and requirements

  • Hours: Monday - Saturday (09:00am - 17:30pm) closed Sundays & Bank Holidays
  • Can offer flexibility with weekend requirements
  • Part time position, 3 days a week (Full time considered)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

  • Basic salary of up to £34,000
  • Pension + professional fee paid
  • 25 days holiday + 8 BH (33 in total)
