Operational Resilience Testing Lead AVP

Introduction:

Are you a seasoned professional with a knack for coordinating and managing testing frameworks within the financial sector? Our client is in search of an Operational Resilience Testing Lead AVP to take charge of testing programs and ensure regulatory compliance across the UK (FCA/PRA) and EU regions, including adherence to the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).

Role Overview:

As the Operational Resilience Testing Lead AVP, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing all aspects of testing within our client's operational resilience framework. From scoping to reporting, you will manage the testing lifecycle, ensuring all regulatory and business requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include coordinating testing exercises, providing oversight on testing actions, and presenting testing outputs to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and gain agreement to a comprehensive testing schedule covering all Operational Resilience and Business Continuity testing requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-testing activities, including scoping documentation, testing packs, and logistical requirements with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate testing activities, including desktop exercises and scenario testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all Operational Resilience testing requirements, supporting coordination across related testing activities.
  • Assess vulnerabilities, define remedial actions, and track delivery of actions to closure.
  • Build awareness and understanding of Operational Resilience testing across the organization through communications and training campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of the Operational Resilience Policy Statements (March 2021) and EU Digital Operational Resilience Act requirements.
  • Experience in developing and delivering testing capabilities covering Operational Resilience and Business Continuity.
  • Strong risk management skills, with the ability to identify and resolve risks and issues.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven facilitation skills, with the ability to lead testing exercises effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall Operational Resilience framework design, planning, and implementation.
  • Analyze the risk and effectiveness of Operational Resilience reporting arrangements and identify actions for improvement.
  • Build relationships with key individuals within the organization to address Operational Resilience weaknesses and concerns.
  • Enhance staff training as required and provide regular updates on progress under the Operational Resilience Governance framework.
