This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a successful self storage and business centre.
This is an independently run business with great growth potential, located in the centre of Wigan.
You will be valued from day one and our long-term aim is to train you to be fully autonomous and develop opportunities to increase the business and for you to share in the rewards.
Duties to include:
- Perform daily functions of running the selfstorage facility and manage the business centre in accordance with company standards:
- Promote rentals of storage & business units by competently handling telephone and in-person inquiries and providing information to customers.
- Computer literate and ability to accurately manage customer accounts.
- Collect funds by phone and in person.
- Contact tenants for issues such as past due accounts, concerns with units, etc.
- Resolve any customer issues effectively and in a timely manner.
- Complete daily walk through inspections, checking locks and cleaning units as needed and maintaining store health & safety and security.
- Monitor the physical condition of the facility and report maintenance requirements.
- Be a responsible keyholder.
Skills and Competencies:
- Skill in interacting with the public and providing excellent customer service.
- To be approachable, polite and respectful, listening to customers' concerns.
- Communicate effectively, including handling telephone calls efficiently and relaying messages accurately.
- Help grow and develop the business.
- Confidence to work with minimum direct supervision.
- Flexible to accommodate change.
Language:
- English
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience in self-storage or retail an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
Familiarity with computers and a knowledge of Excel would be helpful but not essential.
Professional presentation and appearance.
Able to perform light maintenance and clean-up tasks.
Forklift experience preferred but not essential as we will provide training.
Accurately manage customer accounts and records
Work pattern and times:
Each day is from 8.30am to 5.30pm
You will be required to work on some Saturdays 8.30am to 2pm which is paid at time and a half.
We can be flexible on the number of days and which days you work each week the minimum number of days worked each week will be two.
Job Types:

Salary:
£12.00-£16.00 per hour

No less than 16 per week
