This is a temporary position from Monday 1 July 2024 to Saturday 24 August 2024 between 18-36 hours available per week, times range from 8.00am - 2.00pm, dependant on contract agreement, but will ideally be Monday to Saturday inclusive.

About the role


Domestics should be able to work as part of a small team with responsibility for the cleanliness of allocated areas of a boarding house.

There will be times when they will be expected to work unsupervised and they will be expected to be flexible and cover for absent staff when required.

No experience of cleaning is required as training will be provided.

However, Domestics will be expected to be organised and have an attention to detail and must continue to be capable of meeting the physical requirements of the post.

Domestics will work in the boarding house(s) under the day-to-day supervision of the Supervisor.

The school was founded by William of Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester, in 1382. Winchester College is a boarding and day school of 700 pupils.

In 2022, the school has accepted day pupils at 16+ years, both boys and girls; and will be accepting girl boarders at 16+ years from 2025.
