About the Next is seeking an experienced agile led quality assurance engineer with hands-on experience in testing both manual and automated tests.

We are looking for someone to join our expanding team and work on cutting edge web and app projects to support building quality into all areas of the delivery process.

Testing is an integral part of our delivery process and you will be a part of the evolution of the practice of continuous testing in our digital experience and products teams.

Our QA testers do not just write tests, they actively work with our developers, product owners and other stakeholders to make sure all our code is written with quality in mind from the get go.

Together, as a team, we deliver multiple releases daily, fully tested and automated.


We're looking for a quality assurance engineer who can help keep us on our toes and keep us thinking about the quality of everything we deliver.

A taste of what you'll be doing;

Work closely with all members of the SCRUM development team and evangelise quality.

Maintaining an effective working relationship with all members of the team is very important to us.nBe involved in all relevant sprint ceremonies.nAffluent in written and communication skills.nTest implementations and revisions of E.ON Next main web application and mobile applications defined by requirements and user stories to ensure the highest level of quality possible.nBe responsible for the end-to-end test process from planning to release, producing high-quality test artefacts for each part of the test lifecycle.nHelp create test harnesses and scripts and continuously improve test coverage Isolate, reproduce and report defectsnHelp verify defect fixes during the application development lifecyclenMonitor and report on the quality of builds from our CI/CD pipelinenEmbodying the testers knack of having curiosity and an exploratory eyenBuild out our current automation framework written in CypressnIntegrate automation framework with saucelabs to run on different platforms.

nIntegrating automation tests within CI pipeline with Xray on JIRAnIntroduce live monitoring on production using Dynatrace


Above all you should be a self-starter, have strong interpersonal skills, be energetic, disciplined and keen to contribute to a fun, learning environment.

Please note this role is a hybrid role of manual and automated.

You will need to be familiar with Jira and/or Azure Devops where you will be responsible to manage and organise your workload with the team.
