Job Role

Our health care assistants will:
- provide a high level of care to the residents
- assist those that require it with:

  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Washing
  • Dressing
  • Toilet requirements
  • Their personal care
- assist those with mobility problems
- ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving of food meet the required standards
- initiate and participate in recreational activities
- prompt and assists the residents with their medication when required


As a Senior Health Care Assistant you will also lead a small team to ensure high quality of care and life for all the residents.

You will also be required to do some administration.


You will have minimum 2 years care experience and NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care is required and the company will work with you so you can achieve level 5.


Education, Skills and qualifications

  • Skills required are:
- the ability to carry out Care Plans

  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Good observational skills
  • The ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • NVQ Health Social Care Level 2 Years Care assistant experience
  • A knowledge in the following areas is
    desirable.
  • Health and safety
  • Manual handling
  • Fire safety
  • Vulnerable adult protection procedures
  • Antidiscriminatory practices
  • Understanding of working within a multicultural environment.
