The Hepatology Patient Pathway co-ordinator provides essential support to the Hepatology Nursing team striving to ensure the patients' experience is what we would expect for our own family and friends.

Also, because we understand and value the contribution of administrative staff in our teams we invest in training and development to make sure our staff are equipped with the right skills and knowledge to cope with the demands of the role.


You should be a good team player, who enjoys communicating with a wide range of people, be highly organised and have a flexible approach to work.

The successful applicant will have a good general level of education and be able to deal with a very busy environment.

You will also need to demonstrate good organisational skills and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.


Provide a high standard of general administrative support to the Hepatology Team, ensuring that tasks are carried out in a timely manner.

Plan and organise your workload to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.

Organise meetings including the creation and distribution of agendas, timetables, arranging venues and accommodation and catering if required. Take minutes for meetings.

Checking follow up appointments at the JR and other hospitals

Help with managing DNA'd (Did Not Attend) appointments

Recording negative DBS results on the database

Arranging day 0 appointments after MDT- calling patients for this

Booking all Community and Alcohol Liaison Nurse appointments from outlook calendar to EPR

Ordering stationary and other items and stock control

Maintain filing systems, and manage the storage and access of data.

Demonstrate good attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation.


Act as a point of contact for the Hepatology Community and Alcohol Liaison Teams, communicating directly with them in regards to any queries that are received.
