Job Description:

Join our team as a Project Quantity Surveyor and play a vital role in overseeing the contractual and financial aspects of our residential construction projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects stay within budget, managing financial matters, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  • Administer JCT Design and Build (D&B) contracts
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and maintain accurate documentation
  • Manage and oversee all contractual paperwork

Financial Management:

  • Develop and control project budgets
  • Perform cost analysis and maintain cost control throughout projects
  • Manage payments to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Generate detailed financial reports

Project Management:

  • Monitor project progress and performance
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits

Required Skills and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in UK's construction sector
  • Proven track record with JCT Design and Build (D&B) contracts
  • Background working on residential projects

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cost management tools and software
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal standards

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
