The Opportunity: Asset Performance Manager

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cannock

The Impact you will have:

  • Performing regular review of assets within an allocated area, identifying assets performing outside our expected cost base.
  • Undertaking first phase analysis to understand the drivers behind the assets underperformance and conduct where appropriate fleet maintenance reviews with stakeholders. Where appropriate facilitate and conduct more detailed root cause analysis, drawing on a wider resource pool to achieve this.
  • Use technical knowhow and basic project management skills to work with stakeholders, allowing the creation and implementation of actions designed to deliver a plan for "getting assets back on track"
  • Ensuring an effective closed loop process is in place to check that assets are 'back on track', and the actions that have been put in place are working effectively
  • Creating effective relationships with a cross functional set of key stakeholders, including working with the wider Asset Management Team, Sales Function, Engineering Services, and the wider support services network.
  • Developing, where appropriate (allocated area) an understanding of Sites and their relative applications to allow for a better understanding of the features contributing to the Total Cost of Ownership
  • Understanding performance within the Warranty period to recognize early failure trends, allowing for earlier intervention and rectification actions and increased warranty recovery.
  • Responsible for the Preventative Maintenance intervals within the allocated asset base, using asset, location and site-specific knowledge to define the optimum preventative maintenance program. Longer Term looking to be a key stakeholder in the Predictive Maintenance program.
  • Taking a holistic view in conjunction with the Asset Performance Manager peer group to consolidate OEM level insights and feedback to help determine OEM/Brand choices in conjunction with Procurement
  • To ensuring in-life asset rectification considers future Residual Value and with relevant stakeholders take appropriate steps to mitigate any risk to future value.
  • To form an integral part of the Asset Management team to create feedback loop for Asset Type, Brand/OEM, Industry, Customers etc. to help drive a more informed deployment and management of capital.

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Substantial experience in a material handling environment
  • Demonstrable Maintenance Management Skills including understanding of whole asset life cycle asset management
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills with the ability to influence stakeholder groups
  • Computer literate, with experience using the Microsoft office package, including Excel
  • Basic Project Management or similar style skills
