We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Chesterfield.

This role will involve working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children who have emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide onetoone and small group support to students
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
  • Help to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
  • Provide feedback to teachers and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children who have emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient and resilient attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Team Teach qualification or similar (beneficial)
  • DBS check
