We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Chesterfield.
This role will involve working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children who have emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onetoone and small group support to students
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
- Help to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
- Provide feedback to teachers and other staff members
Requirements:
- Experience working with children who have emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient and resilient attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Team Teach qualification or similar (beneficial)
- DBS check
