What you'll be responsible for:

  • Carry out a restocking service to the supply service customers, including internal and external customers. A stock list will be used to identify what stock is required and the post holder will be responsible to perform quality checks to ensure that the stock is in date, is stored correctly and is in good condition.
  • Receive pharmaceuticals from suppliers. All orders to be checked and then stored following manufacturer's guidelines and in line with departmental procedures. All discrepancies to be reported to senior staff.
  • Issue and prepare goods for dispatch to customers and clients using the computer programs effectively and ensuring all packaging of goods meets with all Health and Safety guidelines and is appropriate for transportation.
  • Ensure that orders are prioritised and made ready for collection following transport schedules, enabling deliveries to arrive at their destination at the specified delivery time.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Substantial amount of lifting and carrying.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
