We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our Pharmacy Supply Team located within the Stores Department, Main Pharmacy, Colchester Hospital.

We have two permanent role available within the team.

Full time (37.5hrs per week) - Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with weekend working required.

Part time - (27hrs per week) - working pattern to be confirmed with weekend working required.


The Pharmacy department has a computerised stock control system and previous experience with computers would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.


You should be methodical and have the ability to work with attention to detail, working within a team or on an individual basis.

Experience of stock control would also be advantageous.


Under qualified supervision you will carry out a range of duties, including the receipt, storage, maintenance and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other products held within the Stores, re-stocking of pharmaceuticals across the Trust, and other duties within the dispensary.

You will be expected to be adaptable and be able to adhere to written procedures for the work undertaken.

The role does involve a substantial amount of lifting and carrying.

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements for the post.

You will be required to assist senior staff in demonstrating particular duties to junior and rotational staff.
