Prospectus are pleased to be partnering Catch22, a Social Enterprise who exist to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, with good people around them, and have a fulfilling purpose.

With one of their focus' being in Justice, they work with young people and adults in custody and in the community to provide a range of services that provides effective support mechanisms and intervention to help their service users desist from crime and reach their true potential.

They are now recruiting for a Recovery Practitioner to join their Dependency & Recovery service, until the end of March 2023.


As a recovery practitioner, you will work with Service Users aged 16-25 to understand their specific needs, and help them build tailored action plans which become roadmaps to recovery.

You will be Responsible for supporting the individuals in addressing their dependency and recovery needs, working alongside a wide range of partners to improve their prospects.

You will be undertaking assessments, as well as constructing, developing, monitoring, and evaluating action plans, tailored to the specific needs, complexity level, risk factors & protected characteristics of the service users.

You will also provide advice, guidance and advocacy to support young people to lead safe, happy and productive lives.

To be considered, you will have previous experience of providing support to a caseload of low
- high risk individuals with complex needs, ideally in the criminal justice or relatable sector. Due to the nature of this service, you will have a knowledge of issues/factors associated with people and substance misuse, engagement and intervention strategies. A knowledge of local partners, statutory agencies, associated services, and resettlement pathways is essential. Finally, you must possess the ability to build and develop good working relationships at all levels and have as well as understand the importance of risk assessment and management. Although not essential, previous experience working in the criminal justice/probation sector is desirable.


The role will be based in their hub, in Kings Cross and central/north London areas, with occasional travel across London required as necessary.

Catch 22 are happy to consider flexible working requests of condensed working weeks/fortnights. They also offer ad-hoc home-working requests dependant of service need.
