What you will enjoy doing You will lead the development of strategy, and drive implementation of programs that enable step change improvements in performance in Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & Medical Vigilance, Environmental and Product Stewardship areas You will work with regional businesses and other global groups, take direct management accountability for Linde standards and document management programs to ensure prioritization of standards across subject areas and effective rollout of SHEQ standards and training materials to meet Linde business needs You will supervise SHEQ technical experts and managers and have accountability for their training and development Oversee activities in Linde's Medical Vigilance programs to maintain and improve management system compliance, including oversight of Linde's outsourced Vigilance consultants You will work with leadership to establish annual budget, KPIs, manage activities to meet plan, evaluate program effectiveness and as necessary, identify and implement changes to enhance programs Maintain SHEQ management systems in alignment with recognized HSE and Quality management system standard requirements, including oversight and ownership of the standards program along with harmonization process Advance good practices for thorough reporting, investigation, and corrective action in response to incidents and ensure learnings and actions are shared globally to drive improvement Promote Linde's commitment to quality and operating discipline to internal and external stakeholders Work across businesses and functions to identify and implement processes, tools and technologies that reduce errors and improve process efficiency and effectiveness to improve SHEQ performance Ensure that Communities of Practice (CoPs) are established and effective to facilitate sharing of good practices and lessons learned across Quality, Vigilance, Environmental and Product Stewardship areas Working with Law Department and local businesses, support regulatory compliance and reporting needs in environmental, vigilance, product stewardship and GMP Regularly report to SHEQ and business management on program status and organizational performance including improvement opportunities with solutions You will develop, manage, and maintain SHEQ management system tools, including certain LIDAP module(s) and support businesses as needed Manage Linde Product Stewardship program to drive improvements including evaluation of non-gases step outs, oversite of Responsible Care programs globally, and leadership on operating manuals & other product safety communications You will oversee Linde's Responsible Care programs globally to ensure all commitments to ICCA Responsible Care Global Charter and ACC Responsible Care Management System are met by region businesses

What makes you great

You will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Safety, or related technical field or equivalent experience with at least 15+ years of experience in SHEQ, Operations, and / or Engineering Safety / Quality You must have experience managing a team Further, you will have broad knowledge of Linde's businesses and operations and internal requirements for assigned areas You must possess the desire and ability to identify and implement changes to improve the quality program as well as excellent planning and organizational skills You will have demonstrated ability to balance strategic and tactical needs, thinking critically about the long-term implications of programs and willingness to partner with internal resources to complete critical tasks Ability to lead cross functional efforts and to influence direction of teams not directly under your control Think strategically to identify, recommend and implement t needed changes in program direction to drive continuous improvement You must have experience successfully working with and leading activities of global teams across different cultures is essential You must be able to travel globally up to 25% of the time for meetings and business support in all regions where Linde does business Multilingual skills are a plus
