The Role
We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a
Receptionist

As a Receptionist you will be responsible for maximising room revenues in line with the Company's standards, providing efficient and courteous service, to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• To be familiar with the days business, including arrivals, departures, and special requests.
• Deal with guests promptly upon arrival and departure, as per Company Standards for check in and out procedures.
• To have a good understanding of the guests' requirements when they are checking in or out.
• To ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in accordance with company Policy.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as local area. Therefore, ensuring our guests are assisted effectively.
• Keeping the team up to date by attending the daily meetings.
• Maximise sales through upselling, using incentives and promotions
• Ensure all customer enquiries and requests for bookings are dealt with promptly, courteously and efficiently
• Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints
• Professionally and competently operates the telephone system in line with both operating and Company Standards.

Requirements of the role:

• To have worked in a hotel or with people in a customer related role.
• Excellent Customer service skills, to be able to follow standards and to have good organisational skills.
• To be able to make decisions in a fast paced environment and to enjoy it
• To be able to communicate well to each other and guests
• Be able to use a phone and computer system.

Set in a prime position atop terraced gardens, The Glenburn Hotel commands fabulous views overlooking Rothesay Bay and the Cowal Peninsula

This grand and elegant 3 star hotel on the Isle of Bute and was originally constructed in 1892 as a hydrotherapy retreat.

Guests staying at the Glenburn Hotel have a great choice of accommodation for their hotel break in Rothesay.

Each of the bedrooms are spread over 20 to 30 square metres to ensure a comfortable stay and many of the bedrooms offer stunning and uninterrupted views of Rothesay Bay.

Upgrade to a superior room to enjoy additional amenities such as seating area, coffee maker and dvd player.

The bright airy Ettrick Restaurant seats up to 200 whilst the smaller Pattersons Grill is great for the special occasion, looking out over the bay.

Pattersons can also be hired for private functions.

Relax with a drink in the welcoming bar or enjoy the hotel's terrace which is the ideal spot to soak up the stunning views across Rothesay and Cowal.

The island is serviced by two ferry crossings, the main one being the Wemyss Bay -Rothesay crossing, which is only an hour from Glasgow city centre.
