The role will be based from their head office in Bury on a hybrid basis (2 days a week in the office), so applicants ideally should be within a commutable distance of this location.
As Finance Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance across the business, managing a team of 4 others and ensuring continuous improvement to business and financial processes.
Role Responsibilities:
Oversee financial activities across the business, ensuring that key controls are adhered to and processes are compliant with reporting standards.
Develop and implement efficient financial strategies to support core values.
Manage and develop financial systems and processes.
Support with statutory reporting and annual audit management.
Provide 1-1s and manage a small team, ensuring that duties are being followed.
Collaborate with other department Heads to develop and manage annual budgets.
Experience / Skills required:
Previous experience working as a Financial Controller or similar.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong educational background.
Ideally experience within the financial services sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Confidence and competence working to timely deadlines.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
