We are seeking a highly skilled Qualified Accountant to join our client's senior leadership team in Bury. As a key member of the finance function, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial stability and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver robust period-end accounts and annual group statutory accounts with clear audit opinions.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal financial controls, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Set and deliver measured KPIs for financial stability, identifying new funding streams for potential mergers and acquisitions.
- Provide sound and technical tax advice, including VAT, corporation, and other areas.
- Develop the finance function, seeking efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects.
- Deliver single and multi-year budgets, accurate in-year reporting of forecasts, and budget holder actions.
- Provide technical finance and procurement advice and guidance to the Group.
- Ensure all finance-related regulator returns are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Support senior managers/owners in producing documentation in line with the Strategic plan.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified Accountant with several years of experience in a senior position.
- Experience in production and review of financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Experience in providing financial returns in a regulated sector.
- Presentation of financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Writing board papers.
- Multi-year cash flow management.
- Budget setting and 3-year financial planning at organization and departmental levels.
- Up-to-date knowledge of procurement and payroll guidelines.
