Acorn is searching for a chemical production Process Operator with a chemical background to join their client, a well-established manufacturer based in Greater Manchester.


As a proactive member of a flexible manufacturing team, the main purpose of the role is batch manufacture of the product whilst ensuring the plant operates safely according to prescribed processes and procedures and the product orders are completed on time and in full.


Duties and responsibilities include:

  • To control, monitor and adjust equipment and processes to meet production targets in line with company H&S and quality procedures
  • Prepare process materials according to instructions
  • Carry out analytical testing to ensure product quality and integrity
  • Separate and dispose of byproducts and waste according to company procedure
  • Identify, investigate and resolve faults, breakdowns and deviations
  • Effectively coordinate handover of manufactured product to packaging function
  • Package finished goods from the manufacturing process in line with company and industry standards, making it ready for despatch
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and other lean manufacturing initiatives

Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday 6am - 6pm
