**About you**:
Do you have experience as a Process Operator within the Chemical Industry, or do you work in a similar role within another field and are willing to learn how we operate? We're looking for someone with great attention to detail and a strong understanding of the importance of safety protocols when handling chemicals and machinery to join our small, but mighty, team of Process Operators in a temporary capacity. If the fit is right on both sides there could be opportunity to make the role permanent.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate chemical processing equipment following the company's Health and Safety Policy and operating procedures
- Keeping working area clean, tidy and secure ensuring a safe working environment
- Complete weekly checks reporting all faults appropriately and perform minor maintenance tasks
- Storing stock according to working instructions and ensuring materials are correctly labelled
- Operating a fork lift truck in a responsible and safe manner
- Monitor and control the production process to ensure efficiency and quality
- Perform quality checks on products to maintain high standards
- Responsible for completing goods received and delivery documentation in accordance with company policy
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation

**Requirements**:

- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating chemical quantities
- Experience driving a counterbalance truck, ideally with an in date license
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain machinery
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing industry is preferred but not required
- Able to commute to the plant 5 days a week

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: Up to £14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
