up to £75,000 per annum.

About the Head of Centre of Excellence - Allocations and Lettings role:

As our
Head of Centre of Excellence - Allocations and Lettings, you will help our customers and their families to live in a home that's safe and meeting their housing needs is a core part of what we do.


With a deepening housing crisis and increased regulatory scrutiny, it's more important than ever to ensure we meet housing need in a fair, transparent and consistent way that makes best use of our stock.

You'll help us do just that.

What we're looking for in our Head of Centre of Excellence - Allocations and Lettings:

  • Substantial knowledge of how allocations, lettings and rehousing operational processes work operationally within the social housing sector
  • A good understanding of the sectorwide challenges around the housing crisis and the issues regarding the supply and demand of homes
  • Familiar with the various letting tenure types, you have the expertise to translate insights into service improvements and embed changes
  • Comfortable providing tailored and timely training for delivery teams
  • The ability to ensure our policies are delivering our responsibilities and ethos and are being effectively applied
  • The ability to ensure financial efficiency
  • The ability to build effective networks
  • Strong leadership, motivational and negotiation skills
  • Great attention to detail and wellorganised
  • Experience in delivering across multifaceted teams

What you can expect to be doing as our Head of Centre of Excellence - Allocations and Lettings:

  • Working across multiple directorates and teams and pulling on strength from our central services to support and empower regional and local services
  • Liaising with Operations Assistant Directors and Heads of Service to ensure consistency in approach whilst understanding local nuances and how they feed into the strategic direction of the service
  • Resolving cross functional/regional issues, helping to pilot new ideas and making sure changes are embedded effectively
  • Identifying risks, providing assurance, ensuring or acting as the lead officer for internal audits
