The Centre for Online and Distance Education is a University of London initiative to support the development of expertise and innovation in the field of online and distance education through research, training, capacity building, and strategy and policy development.

With over 40 Fellows who are thought leaders and experts in all aspects of online and distance education the Centre provides a rich programme of events, supports applied research and evaluation, leads extensive training and capacity building initiatives, and provides prizes and awards.

We seek a Centre Manager for our Centre for Online and Distance Education (CODE), based at the University of London.

The Centre has over 40 Fellows who are thought leaders and experts in all aspects of online and distance education.

The Centre Manager works closely with the Director and Associate Directorof CODE, with the Fellows and our wider community and is key in supporting the effective operations of the Centre to ensure a high-quality service is provided to our internal and external stakeholders and clients.

Leadership and development of effective administration to support the smooth functioning of the Centre
Identifying opportunities for improvement in service provision and implementing changes to practice
Leading the effective delivery of high-quality CODE events
Leading on developing and enhancing support for the wider CODE community
Data management
Communications management

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office.

Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.
