About the Role

The Elizabeth Courtauld Surgeryhas an opportunity for a care navigator to join our friendly, hardworking team on apart-time basis for 27 hours per week. The successful candidate will join a team that takes pride in its 'can do' approach. You will work within what can be a busy, often demanding, but highly rewarding environment.

Please note that there will be an initial four-week training programme for the successful candidate at the start of employment.

The main responsibilities of the role include: Answer telephone calls in a timely and appropriate manner Ensure all visitors sign in and receive a badge Deliver accurate and complete messages, transferring calls as appropriate to doctors, nurses and admin staff. Handle patient or other outside agency queries and assisting in finding solutions. Receive prescription requests and direct these to the prescription team. Take payments for private fees and processing credit card payments. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of clinics. Receive and record requests for home visits. Ensure that the clinicians are aware of patients who require immediate attention. Have a basic awareness / ability to deal with challenging behaviour Make new and follow up appointments. Carry out any other administrative duties as deemed necessary by the management or senior navigators. Receive new patient registration forms and photocopying ID.

About the Candidate We are looking for a care navigator to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service and have the following attributes: Excellent communication skills, with a clear and polite telephone manner; Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times; Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations; Confidence to work as part of a team and ability to "think on your feet"; Strong IT and administration skills; Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable. Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
About Us Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery is a friendly and welcoming SystmOne practice with a list size of 16,600. The practice has achieved a 'Good' CQC rating.
