As Receptionist your key responsibilities include:
- Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times
- Being knowledgeable to promote the hotel and its facilities to guests, while dealing with guest queries/complaints promptly, referring to the Duty Manager, where appropriate
- Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to required standard
- Carry out float checks and handle all cash transactions accurately throughout the shift including the issue/use of safety deposit boxes
- Being aware of special promotions operating in the hotel, ensuring they offered to maximize occupancy/revenue
- Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service including being aware of specific daily functions/events, in order to deal with enquiries efficiently and effectively
- To be fully aware of and understand Fire, Bomb, Health and Safety and emergency procedures.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a quality hotel
- Excellent communications skills
- The ability to work well under pressure with a positive, 'can do' attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Rezlynx, EPOS
- Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekend work. Typical shifts are 07:0015:30 or 15:0023:30, as the business requires

Up to £10.50 per hour
