Job responsibilities
Working as a Finance Assistant your role will include:
Invoice processing for sales and purchasing, including both stock and non-stock items.
Assisting the Management Accountant with production of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
Working alongside the Financial Controller and Management Accountant to prepare budget, forecast and cash flow information.
Support management and commercial leaders with reporting and data for decision making - both regular and ad hoc.
Analysing and summarising nominal ledger transactions.
Providing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Liaising with auditors and other advisors when required.
Identifying trends and looking for business improvements and cost savings.
Skills required
Part or fully qualified bookkeeper or Accountant with at least two years work experience post qualification.
Ability to translate data into relevant business information.
Excellent communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to tight deadlines.
Looks to continually improve processes and find smarter ways of working.
Friendly but professional approach, good at building excellent working relationships.
Excellent IT skills.
