St Lawrence College is seeking to appoint an outstanding leader to the new role of Senior Deputy Head, following the appointment of one of the Deputy Heads to Headship.

The Senior Deputy Head will work closely with the Head across a full range of operational and strategic matters and will be committed to the welfare and holistic education of girls and boys in a busy boarding and day environment. The successful candidate should have strong academic credentials and an understanding of what makes an excellent curriculum, a passion for pastoral care and positive wellbeing, a commitment to the extra-curricular, and strong leadership experience.

This is a visible, high profile and influential position and the Senior Deputy Head will be responsible for the day to day running of the School, setting high expectations and supporting the pupils and teaching staff in all they do. They will be responsible for forging strong relationships with parents, prep and feeder schools, and the wider community, and be able to clearly articulate the vision and ethos of St Lawrence College to all these stakeholders.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Deputy Head will play an active role in the development of whole school strategy and will take responsibility for appropriately delegated aspects of strategy design and implementation, supporting the Head's leadership and vision for the College, and integral in the executive implementation of College initiatives.

With an aspiration for Headship in due course, the Senior Deputy Head must have a deep sense of community and a desire to work hard for the benefit of all the pupils and adults who work and live within St Lawrence College.
