Work When and Where Works:
Use hybrid and flexible working to suit your lifestyle and other commitments. 37.5 hour week, working a 7.5 hour shift Monday - Friday.

Duties will include:

  • Maintain, monitor and continually improve workstation deployment (MDT & MECM for Workstations) systems to reduce the risk of failures and continually improve service.
  • Implementation and management of desktop Group Policies
  • Follow the Incident Management process to provide operational support for area of responsibility related systems.
  • Liaise with Service Desk, System Administrator, Technical Management or Operation
  • Control teams to make sure all jobs are dealt with by the correct teams and their area of responsibility.
  • Working with IT Procurement to make sure there is adequate stock levels of equipment to fulfil requests
  • Working with IT Procurement to review standard hardware and make sure it is fit for purpose.
  • Working with IT Security to implement vulnerability patching and continually improve computer hardening.
  • Provide an escalation point for Service Desk Technicians for areas of responsibility.
  • Create and maintain Service Request documentation through the outlined process.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for IT support and management of IT systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to identify, analyse and troubleshoot problems

You should ideally have some experience in the following;

  • Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Active Directory Domain Services.
  • Microsoft Office and other workstation software.
  • Standard networking services and protocols.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework.
  • Microsoft PowerShell
