Main duties of the job

The e-Rostering Officer will be responsible for all aspects of the eRostering system administration across the Trust. This will involve system set up for new areas, supporting existing users on electronic rostering, devising and running training sessions, and ensuring accuracy of employee data via the ESR Gateway.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To be responsible advisor for all HealthRoster users' queries, to identify any issues, to be responsible for solving problems where appropriate and escalating to the eRostering Manager or Head of Workforce Planning and HR Systems as appropriate.

To ensure effective communication with the HealthRoster Team and Ward Sisters/ Charge Nurses and Senior Managers for all areas.

To ensure the daily Team Work Plan is maintained and any issues escalated to the e-Rostering Manager.

To highlight to the e-Rostering Manager and Head of Workforce Planning and HR Systems any bad practice within e-Rostering.

To maintain and ensure information is inputted into HealthRoster in a timely and accurate manner (manually or via using the Gateway) to ensure high quality eRostering data

GCSE Mathematics A level or equivalent academic qualification Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development

Experience

Essential criteria

Experience in an office administrator role Experience of working within an HR or eRostering team Experience of working within a pressured environment, and able to respond to changing demands

Experience of using e- rostering

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff

At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.

The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
