Trailer Fitter / HGV Trailer Technician, Mechanic

The Client:
Our client are a large independent commercial vehicle maintenance provider.
They are one-stop solution for all transport & fleet requirements specialising in Truck & Trailer Maintenance, Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop, Service Contracts, 24hr Breakdown Service,DVSA ATF, Brake Testing, and Trailer Sales.
The Role:
They are looking for
Trailer Fitters to join their successful team at their fast-paced trailer refurbishment & repairs centres in Bredbury.
Duties:
- Carry out general servicing & inspections
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to depot procedures
- Complete job sheets as required
- Complete preventative maintenance
- MOT preparation
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety standards
Requirements:
- Experienced Trailer Fitter / HGV Trailer Technician, Mechanic
- Time served / NVQ / City
- Guilds 1, 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications
- Technical background /experience in HGV Trailer repairs
- HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential.
- Class 1 licence beneficial but not essential
Schedule:
- 08:00 18:00 Monday Friday, 47.5hrs, 30 mins unpaid lunch break,
- Alternate Saturdays required, classed as overtime.
Benefits:
- Enrolment on Simply Health Scheme after 3 months service
- Half year and end of year bonus (discretionary)
- 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Free parking at depot (if needed)
- PPE and relevant Equipment provided
- Own Tools required (for tech roles)
- Auto enrolment on company pension scheme, 5% employee / 3% employer
- Overtime paid for anything over 47.5 hours (1.5 of basic rate)
