Assistant Software Asset Manager - Monthly Compensation Inside IR35 - Long-term Opportunity - Location in Sailsbury - Mostly Onsite - Security Cleared - Industry: Technology/Defense

Join us at Yolk recruitment as we seek an Assistant Software Asset Manager to collaborate with a key player in the defense and technology field.

We present an engaging chance to contribute to the support and configuration procedures, documentation, and foundational repositories like the License Management Database (LMDB) and Electronic Definitive Media Library (eDML).

Given the sensitive nature of the project, the ideal candidate must hold British nationality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular inventory tracking of software licenses throughout the establishment and methods of data capture and collection.
  • Matching software license data, installed/consumed versus actual entitlement or capacity to determine the client's software compliance status.
  • Guiding and advising on Enterprise agreement strategy, negotiations, and renewals.
  • Delivering precise reports promptly to aid license usage, ability to assess reports to optimize licensing and support coverage.
  • Aiding in monitoring, status reporting, and auditing of all Application License Assets (ALA).
  • Supporting the SACM process owner in implementing and enhancing asset and license management protocols.
  • Contributing to service enhancements for license tracking, software asset data collection, and usability.
  • Interacting with projects to provide guidance and assistance at project initiation to ensure accurate software license identification for a seamless transition to service.
  • Supporting the Licensing and Compliance Manager in maintaining license content within the Definitive Media Library (DML) to ensure accuracy, succinctness, and completeness in stored information.

Key Skills:

  • Holder of an active SC security clearance.
  • Background in Software Asset Management Environment.
  • ITIL v3 or 4 Foundation certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certified Software Asset Manager qualification.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional accreditation.
