This role offers you the chance to support, develop, and establish the risk and control mechanisms for the business. You will independently oversee and challenge the effective management of risks and controls. Your responsibilities include providing support, advice, management information, and escalation to leaders and the overall business on risk management. You will recommend necessary actions to the management team to help achieve financial objectives.
Broaden your regulatory knowledge and understanding while evolving in a strategic, proactive role that supports the management of the bank's risk profile.
What you'll do:
- Provide regulatory compliance and conduct insight, oversight, and challenge in relation to relevant business units.
- Contribute to the assessment of the conduct strategy to ensure it aligns with an effective regulatory framework.
- Offer advice to manage conflicts of interest and potential market abuse risks.
- Support colleagues in providing input on regulatory policy and conduct risk strategy.
- Help identify and manage potential or actual conduct and compliance risks.
The skills you'll need:
To excel in this role, you should have experience in a compliance, conduct, or risk management role. Solid knowledge of the regulatory environment and its frameworks is essential, along with the ability to interpret regulatory rules and regulations.
You should also demonstrate:
- The ability to manage and influence business stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of conduct risk management principles.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the risk and compliance operating environment.
