Tudor Grange Primary Academy St James are seeking to appoint a qualified Early Years Assistant to work in our one form entry primary school.

The role is for 22.5 hours per week, working from 12pm

  • 6pm Monday-Friday (including 30minute lunch break).


The role will include supporting the Early Years teachers with their responsibility for the development and education of children, including those with special physical, emotional and educational needs, by utilising detailed knowledge and specialist skills.


The role will also include working as part of a team of TAs to support wraparound provision from 3pm until 6pm.

We have always used school staff to support our wraparound provision because it enables us to maintain an after-school club in which the children are well known by staff and where positive relationships support children to have an enjoyable time in our provision.


The person appointed will be enthusiastic about developing positive relationships with pupils, through academic activities and through play-based activities including games and crafts.

Demonstrates a commitment to one's own training and development.

Supports the social and emotional development and mental health of pupils


Supports individuals and groups of children through interventions that are monitored and evaluated closely, in conjunction with the class teacher.
