We want you to help us make this happen. As a Project Co-ordinator you will help the Solihull early education and wrap around expansion team to meet Department for Education and local deadlines. The role will also include supporting settings to be financially sound and sustainable whilst meeting statutory requirements.

We are looking for an Early Years Project Co-ordinator and Business Support Adviser to join our Early Years Team, to support settings and the wider expansion team. We need people with a real passion and enthusiasm to help shape the future of our services and the lives of young children. We are looking for people who have supported in a setting to understand their business position and take action to be financially sound. High quality provision is critical as we expand the education entitlement and wrap around care.

The Early Years' Service brings together the statutory and non-statutory duties in relation to improving outcomes and reducing inequalities for all young children aged 0-5 into a single team. The service focuses upon building the quality and capacity of early years' providers across the maintained, private, voluntary and independent sector, whilst creating the flexibility to provide an early help offer and higher level of intervention for those children with the most complex needs through support in both homes and their setting. They work closely with a range of Local Authority and health services.

You will:

Co-ordinate the wrap around and early education expansion team to help meet national and local deadlines.Provide business support and advice to early education funded settings and schools.Help the local authority to meet its statutory duty to secure sufficient quality early education and childcare provision.You will have:At least a Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare and/or Business administration and management.Evidence of business management in early years and the ability to analyse and advise on financial leadership at a time of change.Experience of supporting others in early years and a good understanding of the current climate and guidance available to steer local authorities and settings through the roll out of the national programme. This is an exciting new role which will challenge you and your ability to support settings and staff, and communicate and explain best practice in business management. We have an office base in central Solihull within walking distance of shops and local amenities but with the option to work at home when completing visit notes and preparing for visits. Much of your role will be working in early years settings.
