We are currently seeking a School Driver Escort to join our team.

As the second person in the vehicle, you will be responsible for supporting the driver in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school.

This is a crucial role that requires a caring and responsible individual who is dedicated to the welfare of children.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver in ensuring the safe embarkation and disembarkation of students at designated stops.
  • Maintain order and discipline among students during the journey, promoting a calm and respectful atmosphere.
  • Help students with special needs to safely enter and exit the vehicle, providing any necessary physical assistance and ensuring their comfort and security.
  • Monitor student behavior and report any incidents or concerns to the driver or appropriate school personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with both students and the driver, taking note of any changes in the daily schedule or student pickup/dropoff locations.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed, including the use of seat belts and proper evacuation procedures in case of emergencies.
  • Be knowledgeable about the school's policies and procedures regarding student transportation, and provide assistance in adherence to these guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to child safety.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with students, including those with special needs.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school or daycare setting, is preferred but not required.
